Dhangadhi Pair Wins Sudurpaschim Province Badminton Championship

Mahendranagar. The title of the Sudurpaschim Province level Barasingha Badminton competition organized in Mahendranagar here has been won by the pair of Rajendrabahadur Bam and Ram Bohara of Dhangadhi.

In the final match of the 'B Level' of the competition organized by Pashchimapati, the pair of Bam and Bohara won the title along with a cash prize of Rs 44,444, trophy/medals by defeating the pair of Bhojraj Bhatta and Ganesh Mishra.

Similarly, runner-up pair Bhojraj Bhatta and Ganesh Mishra received a cash prize of Rs 22,222, trophy and certificate, said competition coordinator Sherbahadur Singh. Similarly, Kamal Singh Bhatta and Vivek Air, and the pair of Jeevan Khadka and Amit Shah secured third position in the 'B Level' of the competition.

They received Rs 11,111 cash, trophy and certificate each. Similarly, the pair of Bhojraj Bhatta and Virendrasinh Bisht of Dhangadhi has won the title in the veteran category above 45 years of age in the competition.

Bhatta and Bisht's pair won the title along with a cash prize of Rs 15,555 by defeating the pair of Surendra Karki and Shailendra Shrestha in the final match.

The runner-up pair of Karki and Shrestha received a cash prize of Rs 7,555, trophy and certificate. The pairs of Prem Chand, Padam Thagurathi who came third in the competition and Surendraprasad Bhatta, Ishwari Dutt Bhatta were awarded with Rs 5,555 cash, trophy and certificate each.

A total of 80 teams participated in both categories of the competition.
