Women's Singles Semifinal Lineup Complete in Pushparaj Smriti National Open Table Tennis

Kathmandu. The semifinal equation for the women's singles has been completed in the second Pushparaj Smriti National Open Table Tennis competition on Friday.

In the competition held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchaur, Nepal Police's Nabita Shrestha, AVM's Bianca Rai, AVM's Ivana Thapa, and Vision Table Tennis Academy's Yonggi Poudel secured their places in the final four. Now, Ivana will face Yonggi in the semifinals, while Nabita will play against Bianca.

In the quarterfinal match, Nabita defeated her departmental colleague Susmita Khadka in a tough set of 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, and 13-11. In another match, Bianca Rai defeated Bhaktapur's Diya Deula in straight sets of 11-3, 11-9, and 11-9.

Similarly, Ivana Thapa secured an easy win against Bhaktapur's Diksha Dahal with scores of 11-2, 11-4, and 11-2, while Yonggi Poudel secured her semifinal journey by defeating Police's Rabina Maharjan in sets of 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, and 13-11.

A total of 200 players from across the country are participating in this competition, which is being held with the main sponsorship of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 11 and the organization of Kholcha Pokhu Sports Subcommittee. The prize money for the competition, which includes a total of 6 events, is Rs 200,000.

This competition, being held with the support of Lalitpur District Table Tennis Association and the management of Spin Events, will conclude on Saturday. Yinhe Dafe is the official ball partner of this competition.
