Two killed, three injured in Kapilvastu road accident

Butwal. Two people have died and three others were injured after a Scorpio collided with a parked truck in Kapilvastu. The accident occurred last night along the Hulaki road section.

According to police, the accident took place when an Indian-registered Scorpio crashed into a truck parked at Piprahawa, Kapilvastu Municipality-12. The District Police Office, Kapilvastu, stated that the Scorpio (UP 32 CA 8343), which was traveling from Bahadurganj to Taulihawa, hit the parked truck (Lu 1 Kha 9549), resulting in the deaths of 50-year-old Radheshyam Kurmi of Kapilvastu Municipality-11 and 55-year-old Chinni Kurmi of Shivaraj Municipality-6.

The injured include 65-year-old Nanda Prasad Dubey of Maharajgunj Municipality-11, 28-year-old Motilal Kurmi of Shivaraj Municipality-10, and 20-year-old Suresh Kurmi of Shivaraj Municipality-11. The injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Police stated that the accident occurred after the Scorpio went out of control and struck the parked truck. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
