Bhimdatta Municipality Launches Scholarship Program for Women's Higher Education

Kanchanpur. Bhimdatta Municipality has implemented the 'Daughter-in-law Higher Education Scholarship' program with the objective of increasing women's access to higher education.

The municipality has implemented this program to support meritorious, Dalit, and underprivileged daughters and daughters-in-law within the municipal area in pursuing higher education.

Under the program, priority has been given to technical and vocational education. According to the municipality's Chief Administrative Officer, Mahesh Bahadur Bam, two students will be provided with a scholarship of Rs 200,000 each for MBBS studies, and three students will receive Rs 100,000 each for engineering studies.

Similarly, six female students studying in other faculties including nursing, pharmacy, science, management, education, and humanities will be provided with Rs 50,000 each.

“We believe that this program will provide relief to female students who face difficulties in attaining higher education due to financial constraints,” said Chief Administrative Officer Bam, “It will be particularly useful for daughters and daughters-in-law who wish to continue their higher education after marriage.”
