Salyan Municipality Declares Public Holiday for Bus Park Inauguration

Surkhet. Sharda Municipality in Salyan has declared a public holiday to mark the inauguration of a new bus park. The holiday is effective today, Wednesday.

In an official notice, the municipality stated that a public holiday has been granted to celebrate the inauguration of the Srinagar Modern Bus Park, a flagship project located in Ward No. 1.

'It has been decided to grant a one-day public holiday for subordinate ward offices, educational institutions (schools), health facilities, and other related bodies,' the notice read. 'The office apologizes for any inconvenience caused to service delivery due to this public holiday.' 

Additionally, all pre-scheduled examinations will proceed as planned.' According to sources, the inauguration was timed to coincide with the birthday of Mayor Prakash Bhandari.

Bhandari, elected from the Nepali Congress, had intended to have former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurate the facility. He had previously scheduled the event for Bhadra 26, but it was postponed after Deuba was injured during the Gen-Z movement.
