5-Year-Old Boy Goes Missing in Karnali River

Surkhet. A young boy has gone missing after being swept away while swimming in the Karnali River in Mugu. The missing child has been identified as 5-year-old Ayushman Nepali, son of Surya Nepali, a resident of Chhayanath Rara Municipality-13, Ruga village.

According to the District Police Office, Mugu, the boy went missing on Tuesday after being caught in the strong current of the Karnali River near a place called Bhugade. The incident was reported to the temporary police post at the bus park by a local resident, Rajesh Lawad.

Following the report, a joint security team of 15 personnel from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, led by Police Constable Deepak Singh, was deployed to the scene at 4:00 PM to conduct a search operation.

However, police stated that his whereabouts remain unknown.
