RSP Central Committee to Convene Monday to Discuss Organizational Strategy and Convention Preparations

Kathmandu. The Central Committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is scheduled for Monday at 3 PM. Party spokesperson Manish Jha stated that nine agendas have been set for the meeting to be held at the party's central office.

According to Jha, the meeting will primarily focus on organizational strengthening, preparations for the upcoming general convention, and policy reforms.

Spokesperson Jha informed that the meeting will begin with a briefing on the party's activities to date, followed by a session where 20 central members will be given two minutes each to report on grassroots feedback.

A key agenda of the meeting includes the nomination of central committee office-bearers and discussions on the draft of the general convention procedures. Additionally, Jha mentioned that there will be in-depth deliberations on necessary amendments to the party statute.

RSP has also proposed the formation of a 'Local Level Candidate Club' targeting local elections and has called for applications from interested candidates. According to spokesperson Jha, the party has prioritized the agenda of ensuring voting rights for Nepalis living abroad from their current locations.

The meeting will ratify decisions previously made by the secretariat and will also make decisions regarding correspondence received from various commissions and bodies.

Furthermore, spokesperson Jha informed that the agenda includes issuing necessary directives to thematic departments for plan preparation and policy brainstorming, as well as amending the parliamentary party statute.
