Nepal defeated by USA in ICC Women's T20 Challenge Trophy

Kathmandu. Nepal has been defeated by the USA in their match under the first edition of the ICC Women's T20 Challenge Trophy.

In the match held today in Rwanda, Nepal lost to the USA by 44 runs. Chasing a target of 124 runs set by the USA, Nepal was restricted to 79 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

For Nepal, Bindu Rawal scored the highest with 27 runs. She faced 45 balls and hit one four to reach her total. While Kabita Joshi was out for 11 runs, no other batter could reach double digits.

To restrict Nepal to a low total, USA's Mahi Madhavan and Taranum Chopra took two wickets each, while Ritu Singh, Lekha Shetty, and Sainvi took one wicket each.

Prior to that, the USA, batting first, posted a total of 123 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Nepal will play its second match of the tournament against Italy on Sunday.
