Preparations finalized for the 9th Bhojpur Gold Cup

Bhojpur. All preparations for the Bhojpur Gold Cup, starting this Sunday, have been completed. Eight teams from Nepal will participate in the ninth edition of the tournament.

District Football Association President Praveen Suwal stated that the match schedule has been released. The Bhojpur Municipality has sponsored Rs 3 million for the tournament, which will be held at the stadium in Bhojpur Municipality-7.

President Suwal confirmed today that all arrangements are complete. The tournament will run from Baisakh 6 to 12, with the opening match between Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal and LX City Morang on Sunday, according to the organizers.

The first round of matches will continue until Baisakh 9. On Baisakh 7, the host Bhojpur District Football Association will face Sankhuwasabha-11; on Baisakh 8, Satdobato Youth Club Lalitpur will play against Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality, Khotang; and on Baisakh 9, Planning Boys United, Kathmandu will compete against The Gurkhas Football Club, Udayapur.

The winner and runner-up of the tournament will receive Rs 500,000 and Rs 300,000 respectively, along with trophies. The organizers have also announced awards for individual categories, including the best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, the 8th Women's Football Tournament is scheduled to take place from Baisakh 17 to 20. The District Football Association is organizing the event with sponsorship from Bhojpur Municipality.
