Gandaki Province Secures Nine-Wicket Victory Over Karnali in PM Cup

Parsa. Gandaki Province emerged victorious in today's match of the Prime Minister Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament, defeating Karnali Province. In the match held at Narayani Stadium in Birgunj today, Gandaki defeated Karnali Province by nine wickets.

Karnali was bowled out for 72 runs in 25.2 overs. Prakash Joshi scored 15 runs off 36 balls for Karnali, while Diwan Pun added 14 runs off 27 balls. Bipin Khatri took five wickets and Aparajit Paudel took three wickets for Gandaki Province.

In response, Gandaki reached the target of 74 runs in 13 overs, losing only one wicket. Sibrin Shrestha scored 40 runs off 34 balls and Deepak Dumre scored 22 runs off 18 balls for Gandaki. Bipin Sharma took one wicket for Karnali Province.

Bipin Khatri of Gandaki Province was declared 'Player of the Match' and received a cash prize of five thousand. The tournament features 10 teams, including three departmental teams—Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club—along with seven provincial teams. The winning team of the tournament will receive Rs 1 million, and the runner-up will receive five hundred thousand. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for Baisakh 4.
