Fire destroys two industries in Birtamod, Jhapa

Jhapa. Two industries operating in Birtamod Municipality-4 caught fire this morning.

District Police Office Information Officer Khagendra Bahadur Khadka stated that the fire caused significant damage to the industries. At approximately 4:15 AM today, a fire broke out simultaneously at the 'Jhapali Chips Factory' operated by Bhakti Prasad Upreti and the 'Saugat Wood Furniture' owned by Chandra Prasad Kharel.

Police have made a preliminary estimate that the fire caused damage worth approximately 10 million rupees, destroying raw materials, finished goods, and machinery at both industries.

The fire was extinguished a short while ago with the assistance of the Area Police Office Birtamod, the Armed Police Force Base Camp Shanishchare, fire engines from Birtamod, Bhadrapur, and Mechinagar municipalities, and local residents.

Police stated that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined and further investigation into the incident is underway.
