Nepal Celebrates 27th Plant Day with Focus on Economic Prosperity

Kathmandu. With the slogan 'Plants for Prosperity,' the 27th Plant Day is being celebrated across various parts of the country today with diverse programs.

Today, the Department of Plant Resources is also celebrating its 66th anniversary in the presence of Minister for Forests and Environment, Geeta Chaudhary. The department stated that on this occasion, interactions, exhibitions, and award ceremonies related to the conservation, research, promotion, and commercialization of medicinal herbs will be organized.

Additionally, tree plantation drives, awareness programs, herb exhibitions, and farmer orientation programs are scheduled to be held in different parts of the country. Plant Day emphasizes the conservation of biodiversity, the promotion of greenery, and the development of a herb-based economy.
