Nepal's Foreign Minister Khanal Holds Bilateral Talks with Indian Counterpart Jaishankar in Mauritius

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who arrived in Port Louis, Mauritius, to participate in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference, held a bilateral meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

During the meeting held on Friday, Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar congratulated Minister Khanal on assuming office and wished him a successful tenure.

The two leaders reviewed the long-standing multidimensional relationship between Nepal and India.

It is reported that both sides held constructive and forward-looking discussions on various matters of mutual interest. Following the meeting, both ministers reiterated their shared commitment to further strengthening and making bilateral cooperation between the two nations more effective.

Foreign Minister Khanal is leading the Nepali delegation at the conference, which is being held in Mauritius from April 10 to 12 to discuss security, trade, and cooperation in the Indian Ocean region.
