SmartChoice Technologies and City Tech Group Partner to Advance Digital Payments in Nepal

Kathmandu. A partnership has been formed between SmartChoice Technologies (SCT) and City Tech Group Pvt. Ltd. with the aim of strengthening and modernizing Nepal's digital payment sector. This agreement adds a new dimension to the payment acceptance system.

Following this partnership, SCT's platform will be integrated into City Tech's 'FinPOS' hardware. This means that various card schemes such as Visa, UnionPay, and NepalPay, as well as dynamic QR payments via 'Smart QR', can now be processed through a single machine. 

The combination of SCT's robust payment infrastructure and City Tech's cutting-edge technology has paved the way for providing secure and convenient POS devices for banks and merchants.

This service is expected to be particularly beneficial for banks, financial institutions, and payment service providers looking to enter the POS acquiring business. By using this system, institutions will not need to obtain separate memberships for different card schemes, invest further in technology, or deal with the hassle of security certifications, making it an economically superior option.
