Finance Minister Wagle Expresses Confidence in Newly Elected Speaker Aryal

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has expressed his confidence that the newly elected Speaker, Dol Prasad Aryal, will lead the House of Representatives with neutrality, setting aside party affiliations.

Supporting the proposal by Rabi Lamichhane to elect Aryal as Speaker during Sunday's session of the House of Representatives, Minister Dr. Wagle stated, 'He will remain neutral by not maintaining party affiliations. He will prove himself to be capable.'

Citing the examples of the three previous Speakers, he expressed his expectation that Aryal would further strengthen the standards they established. 

Dr. Wagle also stated that he is confident Aryal will continue the legacy of standards established by former Speaker Krishna Prasad Bhattarai in 2015, who asserted that the government belongs to the ruling party while the Parliament belongs to the opposition; the continuity provided by Daman Nath Dhungana after the 2048 election; and the role played by Subas Chandra Nembang as Speaker in guiding the country through a transitional period after the 065 election.
