Police Arrest 16 Individuals for Drug Possession Across Nepal

Kathmandu. A police team on regular patrol has arrested 16 individuals from various parts of the country for possession of illegal drugs.

According to the Central Police News Room, two individuals were arrested from Gongabu Mitranagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, one from Radhakrishna Tole, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Dang, one from Kauwapur, Lamkichuha Municipality-4, one from Semarha, Rohini-4, Rupandehi, and one from Chhipagan, Ward Number 6 of the same municipality.

Similarly, one person was arrested from Phutaha, Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-2, Bardiya, one from Dipuchok, Gauradaha Municipality-1, Jhapa, three from Mechi Bridge, Bhadrapur Municipality-5, one from Kakarbhitta Bus Park, Mechinagar Municipality-6, and one from Urlabari Municipality-7, Morang.

It is reported that a police team mobilized from the Moolghat Police Post arrested three individuals from Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality, Dhankuta, with 44 kilograms of marijuana.

Cash was also recovered from some of the suspects. They were arrested on Thursday.
