Nepali Chess Teams Depart for International Tournaments

Kathmandu. The Nepali chess teams participating in two separate locations and competitions were bid farewell today. National Sports Council Member Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta bid them farewell during a program. 

Three players will compete in the 8th Shanghai Co-operation Organization International Team Chess Tournament to be held in China from April 7 to 12. The participants include Rupesh Jaiswal, Ashish Phuyal, and Kritishara Adhikari. Tara Bahadur Ranabhat is the manager.

Similarly, five players will participate in the Asian Continental Stage of the FIDE ISCF World School Team Championship to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from April 6 to 11. The players are Nihana Shrestha, Suhani Singh, Krishti Rijal, Brijanandadas Tamta, and Aakarshan Kunwar.

Nirajan Prajapati is the manager and Rijendra Rajbhandari is the coach. Both teams will depart for their respective destinations on Sunday.
