Special Court Orders Bail for Former Minister Ram Kumar Shrestha in Pokhara Airport Corruption Case

Kathmandu. The Special Court has ordered former minister Ram Kumar Shrestha to post a bail of 500,000 rupees in the Pokhara International Airport corruption case. A bench comprising Special Court Chairman Sudarshan Dev Bhatta and members Hemant Rawal and Dilli Ratna Shrestha issued the order for the bail amount.

Court Information Officer Yagya Raj Regmi confirmed that Shrestha was released immediately after posting the bail. "A bail amount of 500,000 rupees was demanded from him. He has already paid the amount and left," he stated. Shrestha appeared in court on Thursday. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed the case against him and others in the Special Court on Mangsir 21.
