Construction Worker Dies After Being Struck by Falling Rock in Sankhuwasabha

Sankhuwasabha. A construction worker has died after being struck by a rock in Tamling, Sabha Pokhari Rural Municipality-6, Sankhuwasabha.

District Police Office Information Officer Police Inspector Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi informed that 61-year-old Matha Bahadur Tamang of Kafal Bote in Sabha Pokhari-6 Tamling died after being hit by a rock.

The worker Tamang died around 12:30 PM today during road construction. Police stated that worker Tamang died on the spot after being struck by a rock that fell from above during the road construction.

Immediately after the incident, a police team led by Police Inspector Meghraj Aryal reached the scene. The body of the deceased has been brought to the District Hospital Sankhuwasabha for post-mortem examination. Police have stated that further investigation into the incident is underway. The incident occurred 40 kilometers away from the district headquarters.
