Nepal Oil Corporation Executive Director Involved in Car Accident in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Executive Director Dr. Chandikaprasad Bhatta's government vehicle met with an accident in Kalanki Chowk in the capital on Saturday afternoon, which he was driving himself. Bhatta, who was out in a government-plated vehicle on a public holiday, was taken into custody by traffic police along with the vehicle after it hit a divider.

The accident occurred around 2 PM on Saturday afternoon when the vehicle hit a divider at Kalanki Chowk. According to SSP Navraj Adhikari of the Valley Traffic Police Office, the government car with license plate Ba 7654 became uncontrollable while Bhatta was driving himself and subsequently hit the divider.

Local residents gathered at the scene following the accident. Subsequently, traffic police from Kalanki immediately reached the scene, rescued Bhatta, and took him and the crashed car into custody. Bhatta sustained minor injuries in the accident. Police have stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
