Nepali Football Star Sabitra Bhandari Successfully Undergoes Knee Surgery in New Zealand

Kathmandu. Footballer Sabitra Bhandari (Samba) has successfully undergone knee surgery. Bhandari informed through the social media platform Facebook that the surgery was successfully completed by Dr. Simon and his team in Auckland, New Zealand. 

She mentioned that the surgery was performed by a specialist available in New Zealand itself, following their recommendation, as the current situation in the Gulf region was not conducive for her to travel to Aspetar Hospital in Qatar.

According to her, the rehabilitation (rehab) process will now begin under the supervision of doctors. She stated that the plan is to continue the rehab at Aspetar once her condition normalizes.

She expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Nepali community, clubs, and management teams in Wellington and Auckland during her treatment. She also said that the love and support received from fans have given her further energy for her comeback.

Bhandari mentioned that her entire focus will now be centered on her return.
