Ujyalo Nepal Party Chairman Kulman Ghising Addresses Speculation on Cabinet Participation

Kathmandu. The Chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party (UNEP), Kulman Ghising, has expressed serious concern over the ongoing commentary regarding his potential participation in the upcoming government.

Writing a status update on social media platform Facebook on Tuesday, Chairman Ghising stated that he has taken serious note of the commentary in some media outlets and social media concerning his participation in the government led by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

He stated, 'I want to remind everyone that according to the Constitution of Nepal, a non-Member of Parliament cannot become a minister. It is unimaginable to become a minister by becoming an MP through any alternative path contrary to the mandate received from the people.'

He also clarified that there has been no discussion with anyone so far regarding participation in the government.

He further stated that they are focused on the campaign to further strengthen UNEP by respecting the election results and learning lessons from them.

Stating that their commitment to building a bright Nepal with good governance and prosperity remains unwavering, he requested, 'I urge everyone not to fall for the illusion of the false propaganda spread against us.'
