Three Provincial Chiefs Who Opposed Special Convention Attend Nepali Congress Central Committee Meeting

Kathmandu. Three provincial chiefs of the Nepali Congress who issued a statement opposing the special general convention have attended the current working committee meeting.

Koshi Province Chief Uddhav Thapa, Bagmati Province Chief Indra Baniya, and Madhes Province Chief Krishna Yadav, who had voiced opposition to the special general convention, are present in the ongoing central committee meeting. Bagmati Province Chief Baniya and Madhes Province Chief Yadav are also incumbent chief ministers.

During the special general convention, Gandaki Province Chief Shukraraj Sharma and Lumbini Province Chief Amarsingh Pun had already clarified their positions.

Koshi Province Chief Thapa participated and presented his views in the meeting held on Friday and Sunday under the chairmanship of Vice-President Bishwaprakash Sharma. Bagmati Province Chief Baniya and Madhes Province Chief Yadav are participating in the meeting that started on Tuesday.

Karnali Province Chief Lalitjung Shahi and Sudurpaschim Province Chief Bir Bahadur Balayar are not present at the meeting.
