Nepali Congress Central Committee Meeting Commences in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress has begun at the party's central office.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa arrived at the party's central office in Sanepa today after his resignation was rejected by the Central Committee. The Central Committee meeting, which was held for three days previously, made a six-point decision, including rejecting President Gagan Thapa's resignation.

General Secretary Pradeep Paudel informed that today's meeting will form an expert committee to study constitutional amendments. He also stated that preparations for the 15th General Convention will be discussed in the meeting.

He mentioned that the main agenda of the meeting includes reviewing provincial elections with candidates, effective operation of provincial and local governments, and discussions regarding sister organizations, well-wisher organizations, and public relations committees.
