Actress Benisha Hamal to Debut in Theater with 'Seto Dharti' Adaptation

 Kathmandu. Actress Benisha Hamal is set to make her theater acting debut. She will debut in the new play 'Seto Dharti' being produced by Kantipur Film Academy. She is set to appear in the lead role of Tara in the play.

Kantipur Film Academy has secured the rights to stage the play 'Seto Dharti,' based on the popular novel of the same name by Amar Neupane, which won the Madan Puraskar award. Ever since it was announced that 'Seto Dharti' would be adapted into a play, there was much curiosity about who would play the role of Tara. Benisha, who has been playing diverse characters in films recently, has been selected for this role.

Kantipur Film Academy has previously staged successful plays at its own venue, Kantipur Theater, including 'Mira' featuring Rekha Thapa and Bishal Pahari, 'Shirishko Phool' featuring Jivan Luitel and Sanisa Bhattarai, and 'Maharani ko Jatra' featuring Usha Rajak and Raj Neupane. 'Seto Dharti,' the fourth play by Kantipur Theater, which has established itself firmly in the theater scene in a short time, is being eagerly anticipated by art connoisseurs.

Prakash Puri, CEO of Kantipur Film Academy and Theater, informed that the staging date, director, and other cast members for 'Seto Dharti,' which is currently undergoing workshops and rehearsals, will be announced on the occasion of International Theater Day on Chaitra 13.
