Trump Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum to Iran to Reopen Strait of Hormuz or Face Power Plant Attacks

Washington D.C. -- U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, warning that the world's primary oil transit route, the Strait of Hormuz, must be fully opened. Trump has threatened to attack and destroy Iran's power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened without obstruction or threat within the specified time.

In a post on his social media platform 'Truth Social,' Trump wrote: 'If Iran does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz without any threat within 48 hours from this exact time, the United States will strike and destroy various power plants in their country! And the start will be from the largest power plant.'

Trump is reportedly angered by Iran creating obstructions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20 percent of the world's oil supply passes. He stated in clear and direct terms that he would target Iran's energy infrastructure.

Previously, Trump had also claimed that the leadership and military power of Iran were finished.
