Nepali Congress Central Working Committee Meeting Scheduled Amidst Leadership Uncertainty

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress's Central Working Committee meeting is scheduled to convene today. Party Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal informed that the meeting will take place at 1 PM at the party's central office in Sanepa. 

Office bearers, members of the Central Working Committee, and provincial chairpersons have been requested to attend the meeting. It has been stated that the meeting will discuss the election review along with contemporary issues. 

Leaders have indicated that a concrete decision will be made regarding the strategy the party will adopt in the future, along with a review of the elections, and discussions concerning the resignation tendered by Party President Gagan Thapa and the upcoming General Convention. 

President Thapa resigned following the Congress's weak performance in the elections held on Falgun 21. There appears to be a division within the party regarding whether to accept or reject his resignation.
