Qatar Condemns 'Grave Violation' After Iran Missile Strike on Ras Laffan Industrial City

Doha. Qatar has strongly condemned the missile attack launched by Iran on the Ras Laffan industrial zone, a major industrial hub in Qatar. Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted strongly, calling the strike a gross violation of the state's sovereignty and a direct threat to national security.

According to Qatar Energy, the missile attack that occurred tonight caused extensive damage in the Ras Laffan industrial city. The ministry alleges that even though Qatar has tried to keep itself away from the ongoing conflict, the Iranian side continues to target Qatar and neighboring countries.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, 'Such irresponsible behavior adopted by Iran has disrupted regional security and seriously endangered international peace.' Qatar also warned that Iran's provocative politics are pushing the entire region towards the abyss of destruction.

Qatar recalled that it has repeatedly called on all parties, including Iran, not to target civilian facilities and energy infrastructure. However, the statement noted that the latest direct attack has added a serious challenge to Qatar's restraint and efforts for regional peace.
