Rabi Lamichhane States No Decision Yet on Cabinet Appointments for Rastriya Swatantra Party

Kathmandu. Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has stated that no decision has been made yet regarding who will be sent to the cabinet and who will not.

Lamichhane made this statement on Wednesday while addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day orientation program for the party's lawmakers.

'Some of you friends in this hall will be the ones handling ministries. But, please stop lobbying to be made a minister or through media trials claiming 'I am such and such minister',' Lamichhane said, 'Because nothing is known yet. As of this moment while standing with you, the party has not decided who to send to the cabinet.'

He further stated that no one needs to lobby the party for the selection of ministers, as the party will make the right decision. 'We know your expertise and capabilities. The party will look at both visible and less visible friends,' said Chairman Lamichhane.

During the event, he also affirmed his commitment to the democratic system. 'I believe in the democratic system. I am committed to the current system and the constitution,' he said, 'It is our understanding that some reforms are necessary in the form of governance according to the times.' He asserted that the commitment to the current system, change, and the constitution has not wavered and will not waver in the future.
