ANFA Calls A-Division League Clubs for Talks Amid Protest Over Fixture Announcement

Kathmandu. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has called the officials of the A-Division League clubs, who were staging a sit-in protest with various demands, for discussions. The clubs had staged a sit-in protest at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday, alleging that ANFA unilaterally set the league dates and made other decisions. 

The clubs became dissatisfied after ANFA decided to start the Martyrs Memorial 'A' Division League from Chaitra 30. They reached ANFA with various demands in protest of the same decision. Following the clubs' sit-in, ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai has invited representatives of the clubs for discussions to resolve the dispute.

Participating in the talks are Friends Club Chairman Bishwas Bikram Shah, Machhindra Football Club Chairman Anil Shrestha, Church Boys United Chairman Ruben Rai (Tank), Satdobato Youth Club Chairman Kapil Rana Magar, Manang Marshyangdi Club Chairman Bijay Ghale, NRT Club Chairman Sundarraj Joshi, along with Kumar Rajbhandari and Jaykishan Shrestha, who have entered the ANFA office.
