Family of Slain Girl Demands Swift Investigation, Justice for Inisha B.K.

Kathmandu. The victim's family has demanded a swift investigation into the case of the murder of the girl Inisha B.K. and legal action against those involved. On behalf of the victim's family, Inisha B.K.'s brothers, Chandra Bahadur B.K. and Tapendra B.K., met with Home Minister Omprakash Aryal today, urging him to reveal the facts of the incident, bring the culprits to justice, and ensure the victim receives redress.

Furthermore, the victim's family demanded that relevant bodies, civil society, journalists, and all stakeholders pay serious attention to prevent the recurrence of such heinous crimes and sexual violence against women and children, and to ensure justice and build a safe society.

Accepting the memorandum, Minister Aryal stated that the incident would be investigated and the guilty parties would be brought under the purview of the law. He mentioned that the government is responsibly committed to ending impunity in the country, controlling all types of criminal incidents and undesirable activities, and establishing peace and order.

Sixteen-year-old girl Inisha B.K. was raped and murdered on February 23 in the Janajagaran Community Forest near Shahid Park in Birendranagar-4, Surkhet.
