Rastriya Swatantra Party Secretariat Meeting Scheduled Amidst Health Concerns for Chairman Lamichhane

Kathmandu. The Secretariat meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is scheduled to convene today. The meeting, which was previously slated for Saturday, was postponed until today after party chairman Rabi Lamichhane fell ill.

The meeting is reported to be held at 10 AM at the party office in Banasthali. Discussions in the meeting will focus on the recommendation of proportional representation candidates for the House of Representatives election 2082 and necessary steps to appoint senior leader Balen Shah as the parliamentary party leader.

Based on the votes received in the proportional representation category, the party is set to secure 57 seats. With 125 seats won in the direct elections, the RSP will have a total of 182 members in the House of Representatives.

The Election Commission has given until today to submit the list of proportional representation members.
