Krishna Prasad Timalsina Unopposed as NRNA Treasurer

Kathmandu. Krishna Prasad Timalsina has been elected unopposed as the treasurer of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

Timalsina became unanimous after his name remained the only one for the treasurer post when the election committee published the final list of candidates. 
Timalsina, a resident of Dhading currently living in the UK, previously served as the assistant treasurer.

Similarly, Radhika Gurung (Tika) was elected unopposed for the post of Vice-Chairperson for Women, Amrita Thapa (Kanchan) for Secretary for Women, Abdul Basid and Mohammad Muktada for Assistant Treasurer, and Ganga Khatiwada, while several other posts also saw unopposed elections.

However, elections will have to be held for posts including Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and General Secretary as there are multiple aspirants. The NRNA leadership has stated that efforts for consensus will continue until the last moment.
