CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel Responds to Allegations of Denying Responsibility to Yogesh Bhattarai During Elections

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai's accusation that he was not given responsibilities during the elections has drawn a response from General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel.

He refuted this allegation through social media. He wrote: 'There has been some discussion on social media that Yogesh Ji did not receive responsibilities when he asked the General Secretary during the election period. However, nowhere has it been mentioned that I requested him to attend the places where there were requests for him as a speaker, as much as possible. Moreover, I had requested him to come to Dang if time permitted. At that time, he mentioned having to go to Taplejung. I took that naturally. But I am surprised by the news disseminated in Yogesh's name now.'

He mentioned that he clarified the matter so that there would be no confusion, suggesting that only an incomplete part of Yogesh's statement might have been disseminated.
