Progressive Democratic Party Leader Janardan Sharma Thanks Rukum West Voters After Election

Kathmandu. Janardan Sharma, a leader of the Progressive Democratic Party, has thanked the voters of Rukum West who participated in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21. In a video message released via social media platform Facebook, he congratulated the candidates who won the election and pledged to remain dedicated to serving the people, regardless of whether he holds a position or not.

Sharma thanked Prime Minister Sushila Karki, the Election Commission, security agencies, the District Election Office, and all staff for conducting the election on schedule. Congratulating Gopal Sharma, who was elected as per the choice of the people of Rukum, he advised him to fulfill the hopes and expectations of the public. He urged the winning candidate to move forward in the direction of making Rukum prosperous with good governance by completing ongoing projects and solving the problems of the poor and unemployed. He emphasized the need to develop Rukum based on democratic values and norms.

Sharma stated that all political parties in the district must unite for the overall development of Rukum. He called upon all parties to unite and contribute to completing the second phase of the Rukum Integrated Development Plan and building a society based on social justice and equality.

Speaking in the context of national politics, Sharma said that Nepali voters have defeated the mentality and tendency of political instability this time. Claiming a historic mandate, he extended special congratulations to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), its chairman Rabi Lamichhane, senior leader Balen Shah, and the entire team. He advised the RSP to embrace this historic mandate from the people and move forward on the path of socialism with good governance, economic development, and social justice. He expressed hope for success in the historic responsibility that has fallen upon the RSP's shoulders to protect the constitution and the nation and build a truly developed Nepal.

Congratulating all the winning candidates across the country, Sharma clarified that as a conscious citizen, he would support and stand by every step taken in the national interest. Expressing his indebtedness to the trust, love, and goodwill that the people of Rukum have shown him since the past, he pledged to remain continuously dedicated to the service of the people in the coming days, whether in office or not.
