Rastriya Swatantra Party Candidate Wins Sunsari-4 Seat, Defeating Former Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured a victory in Sunsari Constituency No. 4. RSP's Deepak Kumar Sah has been elected after defeating influential Nepali Congress leader and former minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki by a significant margin.

According to the vote count published on Sunday, Sah secured victory by obtaining 42,771 votes. His closest competitor, Karki, received only 16,587 votes. The vote difference between Karki and Sah stands at 26,184.

In this constituency, CPN-UML candidate Jagdish Prasad Kusiyait finished third with 8,631 votes, while Mohammad Mahfuz Ansari of the Communist Party of Nepal was fourth with 3,432 votes. Similarly, Bishnu Rana of the Shram Sanskriti Party garnered 2,763 votes. With this result, the RSP, whose election symbol is the bell, has achieved victories in a total of 124 seats.
