CPN-UML's Yagya Bahadur Bogati Elected to House of Representatives from Achham-2

Kathmandu. Yagya Bahadur Bogati of CPN-UML has been elected from Achham Constituency Number 2 for the House of Representatives.

According to the counting completed on Sunday, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives by securing 9,518 votes. Pushpa Bahadur Shah of the Nepali Congress received 9,046 votes. Bal Bahadur Kunwar of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) secured 6,493 votes.

Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Bhupdev Shah, who is an associate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, was defeated. He only managed to secure 4,562 votes. While RSP candidates were being elected across the country, he faced defeat. Bhupdev served as the personal secretary when Balen was the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
