Vote Counting Delayed in Gorkha-1 Constituency Due to Unarrived Ballot Boxes

Kathmandu. Vote counting has not begun in Gorkha-1 as the ballot boxes have not arrived. The Chief Election Officer, Bishnu Prasad Gautam, informed that the delay in counting is because the ballot boxes, which need to be brought from the northern part of the district by helicopter, have not arrived yet. 

Gautam stated that out of the ballot boxes to be transported by helicopter, 7 have arrived, and 16 ballot boxes are still pending arrival. Gautam further informed that preparations are underway to start the vote counting after all ballot boxes arrive by 5 PM today and an all-party meeting is held thereafter.
