Vote Counting Continues for House of Representatives Elections; Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads in 70 Constituencies

Kathmandu. Vote counting is ongoing for the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday. Results have been announced for 2 out of 165 constituencies under the first-past-the-post system, while counting is underway in 91 other constituencies. 
Among the constituencies where counting is taking place, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured victory in 1 constituency and maintains a lead in 70 constituencies. 

Similarly, the Nepali Congress has won one constituency and is leading in 8 others, while the CPN (Maoist Centre) is leading in 5 constituencies. The CPN-UML is leading in 4 constituencies, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is leading in 1 constituency. Independents and other parties hold leads in 3 constituencies. 

Furthermore, preparations for vote counting are underway in several other constituencies, while the process of collecting ballot boxes is still ongoing in some locations.
