Nepal Police Chief Declares Peaceful Conclusion to Nationwide Voting

Kathmandu. Nepal Police Inspector General (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki has stated that voting across the country was completed in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner. Speaking to journalists on Thursday, IGP Karki attributed the peaceful completion of the elections to effective coordination among security agencies and the successful implementation of an integrated security plan. According to him, the elections concluded peacefully nationwide, barring minor disputes.

He mentioned that discussions are underway between political parties and election officers to resolve disputes observed in some constituencies in Dolakha. He further stated that responsibilities have been assigned to all security agencies from the collection of ballot boxes until the completion of the counting process, and they will proceed according to the plan.
