Mourner Casts Ballot in Baglung While Observing Funeral Rites

Baglung. A bereaved son cast his vote in Baglung. Dipendra Rana of Kathikola Rural Municipality-3, under Constituency No. 1, cast his vote while observing the funeral rites for his mother. Rana's mother, Shashikala Rana, passed away on Falgun 15 at the age of 88.

Rana cast his vote on the sixth day after his mother's death. While voting, Rana stated that he cast his ballot to elect the right leadership, even while observing his mother's mourning period.

There are 11 candidates in the electoral field in this constituency, with a total of 98,046 voters. This includes 50,369 female voters and 47,676 male voters. Chief Election Officer Sita Sharma Adhikari informed that 45 percent of the votes have been cast so far.
