One Dead, Two Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Udayapur, Nepal

Udayapur. One person died and two others were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident this morning in Chaudandigadhi Municipality, Udayapur.

The accident occurred when a motorcycle with registration number Pr.01-05-002 P 1827, traveling from Gaighat towards Beltar, lost control and crashed in the Bhima section of Ward No. 10, Chaudandigadhi Municipality, along the Madan Bhandari Lokmarg.

Police reported that the motorcycle driver, 18-year-old Samir Chaudhary, a resident of Siwai, Ward No. 5, Chaudandigadhi Municipality, died after the speeding motorcycle struck a Sal tree on the northern side of the road.

Chaudhary, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately rescued and taken to the Municipal Hospital in Beltar, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Two other occupants of the motorcycle were seriously injured in the same accident. The injured have been identified as 18-year-old Mausam Chaudhary and 23-year-old Ashok Chaudhary, both residents of the same locality in Ward No. 5, Chaudandigadhi.

Both injured individuals were referred to a well-equipped hospital in Biratnagar for further treatment after receiving initial care at the Municipal Hospital.

Police from the Area Police Office, Beltar, are conducting further investigation into the accident, which occurred around 11:00 AM. The preliminary assumption is that the accident happened because the motorcycle became uncontrollable, as three people were riding on it.
