Voter Turnout Reaches 17% in Baglung by Midday for House of Representatives Election

Baglung. Voting is proceeding enthusiastically since morning in Baglung for the House of Representatives election. Voter turnout across the district reached 17 percent by midday.

The voting is proceeding regularly at all 210 polling centers in the district, informed Chief Election Officer Sita Sharma Adhikari.

Baglung has a total of 193,381 voters, comprising 94,806 males and 98,574 females, across 130 polling centers. Temporary polling stations have been set up at the District Jail and the District Coordination Committee office. Out of 55 voters at the jail, 53 have already cast their ballots.

Congress candidate Bhim Shrish for Baglung-1 cast his vote at the Rangkhani Secondary School polling center in Jaimini Municipality-10. UML candidate Hirabahadur KC voted at Laxmi Secondary School in Kathokhola Rural Municipality-3 Dhamja, RASP's Sushil Khadka voted at Kalika Kanya in Baglung Municipality-3, and Rastriya Janamorcha's Krishna Prasad Sharma Adhikari voted at Prithvi Hiranya Secondary School in Baglung Municipality-12 Amlachaur.

In Constituency No. 2, Congress candidate Tekraj Paudel cast his vote at Janamadhaymik School in Nishi Khola Rural Municipality-4 Jhimpa, UML candidate Manju Sharma voted at Hatiya in GalKot Municipality-3, and Nepal Communist Party candidate Gyamanath Gaire voted at Parbati Secondary School in GalKot Municipality-6. However, RASP's Som Sharma was unable to cast his vote as his voter registration is in Constituency No. 1.
