Home Ministry Confirms Full Preparedness for House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that all preparations for the House of Representatives election are complete. On Wednesday, a virtual meeting was held at the ministry, led by Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, with the Chief District Officers (CDOs) from all 77 districts. Home Secretary Shrestha gathered information from the CDOs regarding election preparations and security management.

Ministry Joint Spokesperson Rama Acharya informed that the nearly three-hour-long meeting focused on election readiness and security management. She stated, 'The Chief District Officers have reported that all election preparations are complete and the security situation is normal.'

Home Secretary Shrestha directed the CDOs to make election security robust and effective. Following the discussions, the ministry announced that all preparations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 are complete. The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the completion of election preparations after reviewing the peace and security situation, precautions to be taken on election day, and security sensitivities.

In the meeting, the CDOs from all districts reported that all personnel, security mechanisms, and election materials have reached the polling stations.
