Independent Candidate Withdraws Candidacy in Tanahun-1, Pledges Support to Nepali Congress Nominee

Damouli. Independent candidate Sandesh Lourdari from Tanahun-1 has announced the withdrawal of his candidacy and declared support for Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai.

Independent candidate Lourdari and other youths joined the Nepali Congress on Sunday evening. After joining Congress, Lourdari claimed that approximately one thousand votes would fully support the party.

Congress candidate Bhattarai recalled his time as the central president of the Nepal Students' Union, stating that he has always been a leader who understands and represents the sentiments of the younger generation (Gen Z).
