US Military Claims Destruction of Iranian Warship in Gulf of Oman

Kathmandu. The US military claimed on Sunday to have sunk an Iranian warship in the Gulf of Oman. According to a statement issued by the US Central Command, Reuters reported that the Iranian 'Jamaran-class corvette' warship, located at a pier in the port of Chabahar in the Gulf of Oman, was destroyed in a US military strike.

The Central Command, which is leading the US military operations against Iran, also warned the Iranian armed forces to immediately lay down their weapons and leave their area of operation.

Referencing remarks made by US President Donald Trump on Saturday, the Central Command wrote on social media platform X, 'As the President said, the members of the Iranian armed forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the police must now lay down their weapons. Leave the ship.'

The news also mentioned that the US is continuing its targeted attacks on Iran's military capabilities.
