Conflicting Reports Emerge Regarding Health of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei After Attack

Tehran. Contradictory reports are surfacing globally regarding the condition of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Following an attack on his residence, various speculations have begun about the life and health of the 86-year-old Khamenei.

Satellite images released after the first phase of the attack targeting Khamenei's residence show significant damage to his compound. Iranian officials initially stated that he was moved to a safe location following the attack. Although news emerged that he would address the nation via state television shortly after, no address ultimately took place.

In this context, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing his nation via television, hinted at the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei. However, he did not explicitly state that Khamenei had died. 

Meanwhile, American and Israeli media outlets are broadcasting news claiming Khamenei's death, citing unnamed officials.

On the other hand, Iranian officials are continuously refuting these reports. A presenter on Iranian state television urged the public not to fall for the enemy's psychological propaganda, without mentioning Khamenei by name.

Meanwhile, a social media post by former US President Donald Trump has further brought this issue into the spotlight.

It is currently speculated that Iran's 'Assembly of Experts' may be engaged in secret discussions or preparations to select a new Supreme Leader. 

If Khamenei's death is officially confirmed, it will prove to be an extremely sensitive and decisive turning point for the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its hostile relations with Israel and the US, as mentioned in a BBC report.
