Nepali Congress President Thapa Alleges 'Factories' Created to Defame Him

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that new and old parties have established 'factories' to defame him. Addressing an election rally organized by the Nepali Congress in Butwal on Friday, President Thapa alleged that materials are being edited from these factories to insult him and will be made public at an appropriate time.

“I knew that some new and some old parties would open factories to edit my old statements. The latest instance is where only the beginning part of a video has been presented, claiming I used derogatory words about the indigenous community,” Thapa said.

He urged party workers not to remain confined to social media but to visit the homes of voters.

“My request to all party friends is: only a few days are left. No one should be complacent, friends. Go door-to-door. You should express your views on social media, but do not remain confined only to social media,” President Thapa said.

He also urged party leaders and workers to listen to the views of the youth. Thapa asked the party ranks to inform the youth that the Congress has come with a new resolve from the special general convention to carry forward all the good aspects of the past and leave behind the bad ones.

President Thapa also mentioned that the Congress expects support from Nepali citizens scattered across various countries.
