Nepal Communist Party Leader Prachanda Asserts Monarchy Will Not Return

Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged the public not to harbor illusions that the monarchy will return to Nepal under any circumstances.

Prachanda made these remarks during a press conference held at the party's central office in Paris Danda on Thursday.

'The monarchy will not return to Nepal; there is no need to harbor this illusion,' said former Prime Minister Prachanda, adding, 'It is pointless to say that a tendency already relegated to history will come back again.'
