CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda Asserts February 21 Election is Guaranteed

Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), has stated that the election scheduled for Falgun 21 is assured.

Speaking at a press conference organized on Thursday, Prachanda mentioned that despite some ups and downs, the entire nation is engaged in the election process, and the election is guaranteed.

However, he stated that the election has arrived under difficult circumstances, and ensuring its success is the responsibility of all levels and sections of society.

Prachanda further stated that the peaceful demonstration held by Gen Z youth on Bhadra 23, demanding control over corruption and the removal of restrictions on social media, had legitimate demands, and he had advised against interfering with them.

He added that the tendency to kill and suppress youth on the 23rd is still present in Nepal's politics, and the arrogant and haughty tendencies are not ready to take moral responsibility.

Likewise, he described the destructive tendencies of the 24th as extremist tendencies, stating that they stand against both tendencies.
